This is a cool TV segment from the Andy Griffith Show showing young Roland and his late great brother Clarence White. I think Clarence may be playing the old Martin D-28 (with different fretboard) that is now owned by bluegrass legend Tony Rice. I remember when I saw a little blurb in the LA Times (around 1967?) noting Clarence’s death. He was struck by a drunk driver while loading instruments in his car following a gig.

Randall Davis is a talented contemporary artist of the west; his exquisite sense of line and detail present horses, cowboys, southwestern landscapes, Indians, old barns and portraits in bronze, oil and fine pencil drawing. His style reminiscent of the “old masters”, he imparts to his students an ability to access and express their own artistic ability.
